GCSE Results Day 2019

We are very proud indeed of our Year 11 who have been celebrating a fabulous set of GCSE results.  Once again, our students progress is above national average. Congratulations to them all.

We are exceptionally pleased that over 20% of all results were the very highest 9 to 7 grades with many students achieving grade 9.  75% of all results were a grade 4 (standard pass) and above.   Over 60% of all grades are grade 5 (strong pass).

Students continue to excel in English and Mathematics.  81% of students achieved a Good Pass or above in English and 71% in Maths, both significantly above national averages.  70% of students sitting the exams achieved a grade 4 in both English and Maths with almost 50% achieving a Grade 5 in both, showing continued improvement.

Pass rates still remain very high across the school and remain above national average levels for all schools in the vast majority of subjects.

We would like to thank all those who have helped the students throughout their time at Chelmer Valley; the teachers who have undertaken everything possible to ensure such positive outcomes and to our parents, thank you very much, without your support for both the school and the young people success would not be possible.

We wish all the students every success in their new venture, whether with us at Chelmer or at College, Sixth Form or an apprenticeship.

Believe in yourselves, keep in contact with us and continue your journeys to success.

Claire Goodchild, Headteacher
