Army Exhibition for Schools
Students have the opportunity to attend the Army Exhibition for Schools in Bassingbourn. This is a chance for them to develop their understanding of the Army as a possible career option and as part of their ongoing citizenship education programme.
This event is a fun day with plenty of sports, activities, careers information, displays and opportunities to get up close to some of the equipment used by the Army. Musicians also have a fantastic opportunity to learn and play with the Army band.
Students are able to join in various activities: Paintball target shooting, Obstacle Course, Mock parachute drop, Computer simulations, Climbing tower, Team building tasks and a range of 'hands on' technical activities, Competitions ie Tug of War.
Staged displays include: Motorcycle display by the 'White Helmets', Freefall parachuting by the 'Red Devils' and Battle scenes.
The Army Careers Stand provides information on all Army Careers, jobs and trades including details and briefings on Welbeck College, Modern Apprenticeships, Army Music, the Army Foundation College and School Leaver Scheme.
