KS4
The GCSE course mixes practical work and written coursework. Throughout Years 10 and 11 various styles and genres are studied allowing students to experiment with characterisation and structure. Unit 1 is based on the ‘Craig and Bentley’ story and Unit 2 looks at ‘Blood Brothers’ where all students have the chance to go and watch the West End Production. Both units have written coursework to accompany the practical work. The final exam involves a small group devised or scripted piece that is graded by an external examiner.
KS4 Drama King or Queen
Every month students are given the opportunity to become the KS4 Drama King or Queen of the month. This award is given for excellent effort in lessons, good performances and dedication to the subject.
Talented Scheme
KS4 students have the opportunity to be placed on the Drama Talented scheme. The selection criteria can be found within the Drama Talented section.
