KS4

The GCSE course mixes practical work and written coursework. Throughout Years 10 and 11 various styles and genres are studied allowing students to experiment with characterisation and structure. Unit 1 is based on the ‘Craig and Bentley’ story and Unit 2 looks at ‘Blood Brothers’ where all students have the chance to go and watch the West End Production. The final exam involves a small group devised or scripted piece that is graded by an external examiner.
