AS LEVEL
At AS and A level, students follow the Edexcel A syllabus. At AS level students study units on rivers, coasts, earthquakes, volcanoes, settlement, population and fieldwork skills. This is assessed in a series of modular short answer style examinations.
A LEVEL
At A level students study units on Glaciation, Ecosystems, Development and Rural/Urban interrelationships. This is assessed in a series of modular essay style examinations. At A level independent study skills are encouraged and taught throughout the course.
FIELD TRIPS
Students attend the Cranedale residential centre in North Yorkshire for 4 days. Students complete river, coastal and urban fieldwork at the centre.
