KS5

PHYSICAL EDUCATION - A LEVEL

The PE department offer A level Sport and Physical Education at KS5 and pride ourselves on the quality of teaching, as well as developing students ability to learn independently. We follow the AQA examination syllabus, which can be accessed via the link below.

Many of our students go on to study courses such as Exercise and Sports Sciences, Physiotherapy or indeed teaching qualifications at university, although the subject can be used in conjunction with many other Further Education courses.

Why choose A Level PE????

·          Is a natural progression on from GCSE PE.

·          Gives you a sound knowledge to follow a variety of courses at degree level

·          Enhances their knowledge and understanding of the factors that effect performance and participation in PE.

·          Allow student to develop an interest in a variety of sporting roles as a coach, official or performer.

·          Addresses current and contemporary issues in sport and the impact these may cause.
