High Five Netball Festival

This years High Fives netball festival was held at Chelmer Valley High School on Thursday 26th February 2009. The following five Primary schools participated: Broomfield, Springfield, Great Waltham, Bishops and Tyrrells. Although the weather was cold, sprits were kept high and the competition was fierce. Well done to Tyrrells Primary School who took first place and to Bishops Primary School who took second. These two teams will now go through to compete in the Partnership finals held on Monday 23rd March 2009. Huge congratulations to all teams who took part.

A big thank you needs to go to the sports leaders who assisted in the running of the competition. They all showed fantastic leadership qualities and made the festival a great success.

Superstars Year 4 Event

Every year a Superstars event is held at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre, where every year 4 pupil in Chelmsford is invited to particpate in various athletics events. The following family of primary schools attended the event on Friday 6th March 2009, Chelmer Valley, KEGS and the Great Baddow Primary School Family.

The Chelmer Valley Sports Leaders helped organise and run the events for the entire day, helping make it a huge success. I would like to congratulate all the leaders for their dedication when training and their outstanding accomplishments as a leader on the day.
