During this Key Stage we also provide a large number of opportunities for increasing skills in CAD/CAM. Students are encouraged to use 2 D Design and Prodesktop for modelling and communication of design ideas. In electronics they will be working with Crocodile 610 to build and test circuits in Electronics. The more traditional form of electronics is experience in Year 7 in the moisture tester project, but we progress to projects in year 8 and 9 that use PICs and PIC-Logicater programme. Emphasis is placed throughout the key stage on acquiring a range of basic practical skills and knowledge. Students are encouraged to take home their project, for which a nominal charge is made.
