Mrs Cook at SSAT Achievement Show 2012
As part of our continued focus on sharing good practise at Chelmer Valley High School, Mrs K Cook, Literacy Coordinator was invited to speak at the SSAT Achievement Show, held in Twickenham on Tuesday 19th June.
The day was split into 5 different sessions with all areas of the curriculum covered by guest speakers sharing their knowledge and expertise. In total about 60 teachers came to listen to Mrs Cook talk about how literacy can be shared across the curriculum and some of the ways this is done at Chelmer Valley High School.
Good practise shared with fellow practitioners included our monthly focus, word of the week, literacy targets, reward schemes and much more. In recent weeks we have also had many visitors to Chelmer Valley to see in practise our Literacy provision and we hope to continue sharing our ideas in future.
