Our aims in Technology are to build a skills background for students so that they gradually gain independence in their ability to tackle technological problems. We also aim to provide a wide range of opportunities to promote engineering in our society. Within all our projects, at all key stages, CAD/CAM plays a significant part in the design and make process and we aim for all students to be competent in the use of our extensive range of software programmes.
In 2011, two new purpose built Food and Textiles rooms were officially opened, furnished with specialist up to date equipment for the effective delivery of these unique and exciting subjects.
The Technology department consists of; 3 workshops, 2 computer rooms, 2 textile rooms, 1 food room, 2 multi purpose work rooms with computers and 1 sixth form engineering room.
