Sam Cleverley Shaves Head for Charity

An inspirational Year 8 student let friends loose with hair clippers as he had his locks lopped for a good cause.

Year 8’s assembly before half term was dedicated to Sam Cleverley’s bid to raise as much money as possible for CLIC Sargent – the charity that supports young people with cancer.

Sam was given permission to have his head shaved as his selfless act was in support of his friend Alana Bugeja, who has recently returned to school after bravely battling cancer.

Sam had set a target of £200 and has currently amassed more than £1,000 online. Donations from students of all year groups should hopefully help push the total close to £1,500.

Well done Sam!
