Chelmer Valley High School is vibrant and highly successful.  Recognised as a Good school in October 2017, we are looking to appoint a Head of Physics to teach the full age and ability range up to A Level.  The successful candidate will be a strong classroom practitioner and will receive strong support for their own professional development. 

You will join a successful and committed department where examination results are consistently high. The Physics Department consists of three other experienced physicists, a dedicated physics prep room and an observatory. Uptake for Triple Science and A-level is high, as is GCSE Astronomy, which is offered as an additional GCSE.

We are looking to appoint an excellent practitioner who can teach RE/Philosophy & Ethics up to A level.  An ability to teach a second subject area within Humanities (Geography/History/Sociology) may be an advantage.

Learning Support Assistant

(fixed term)

25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Salary Band 2 – Midpoint, point 11

Actual salary per annum £9,499 pa

 

Required as soon as possible

 

We seek an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our staff team.   Experience of working with secondary age children and/or working effectively as part of a team would be an advantage.  GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths preferable.  Induction training will be provided.
