With the potential upcoming weather forecast tonight, please can we ask you to familiarise yourself with our late start/school closure procedure.

There are occasions when the school has to be closed in order to ensure the safety of both the students and the staff. In most cases the decision to close is made if snow or ice means that the buses cannot run safely or if the school site is deemed unsafe.

Chelmer Valley is expecting to be open throughout this period of exceptionally cold weather.

If there are any changes to this, the message on the website will be updated.

We will also communicate with you through Parentmail, Twitter and the ECC website.

Please ensure all students arrive for school in normal school uniform, with sensible, waterproof school shoes and a warm coat.
