Chelmer Valley High School Celebrates Another Outstanding Set of GCSE and BTEC Results

Chelmer Valley High School is celebrating another fantastic year of GCSE and BTEC results, building on the school's excellent A Level outcomes announced last week.

Students have achieved a strong set of results across a wide range of subjects, with the school particularly pleased to see significant improvements in both overall grades and the proportion of higher grades achieved. These outcomes reflect the dedication, resilience and hard work shown by students throughout their studies, supported by committed staff and families.

The results mean that many students will now progress to Chelmer Valley High School's thriving Sixth Form, while others have secured places on college courses, apprenticeships and other pathways across Essex and the wider region.

Among the many exceptional performances were:

• Joshua achieved an outstanding ten GCSEs, including eight Grade 9s and two Grade 8s.
• Reece secured eight Grade 9s, one Grade 8 and one Grade 7, an exceptional achievement.
• Nneka celebrated two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, three Grade 7s and a Grade 6.
• Tia achieved an impressive set of results including four Grade 9s and five Grade 8s.
• Mollie excelled across both GCSE and vocational qualifications, achieving three Grade 9s, a Distinction*2, four Grade 8s and a Grade 6.
• James secured three Grade 9, four Grade 8s, a Grade 7 and a Grade 6.
• Harry achieved a Grade 9, five Grade 8s, a Grade 7

These outstanding achievements sit alongside many other individual success stories, with students across the ability range making excellent progress and securing results that open doors to their next stage of education and training.

"We are absolutely delighted with this year's GCSE and BTEC results. They build on the strong A Level outcomes we celebrated last week and reflect the continued strength of teaching, learning and support across Chelmer Valley High School.

We are especially pleased to see improvements in overall attainment and in the number of higher grades achieved by our students. These outcomes are a testament to the commitment shown by our young people and the high expectations held across our school community.

However, regardless of grades, what impresses us most is the hard work, dedication, resilience and effort our students have demonstrated throughout their time with us. Every student should be proud of what they have accomplished and of the personal growth they have shown on their journey through secondary education.

We are delighted that so many students will now go on to our Sixth Form or pursue a wide range of exciting opportunities at colleges, apprenticeships and training providers across the area. We wish every member of the Class of 2026 every success and happiness in the future.
