TEACHER OF MFL
Required September 2026
Chelmer Valley is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teacher who can confidently teach French to Key Stages 3, 4 and Spanish to Key Stage 4. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 languages would be beneficial. The languages team is a mixture of experienced and young staff and benefits from a range of digital resources to support teaching and learning.
You will have a natural flair for delivering creative and vibrant lessons that enthuse and motivate all students to want to learn and achieve. You will have excellent communication skills and be enthusiastic about your professional development.
Chelmer Valley is a popular and oversubscribed, mixed, 11-18 comprehensive with 1200 students on roll. TEACHER OF SCIENCE
Full/Part time considered

TLR/RADA Opportunities may exist for the right candidate
Due to expanding school numbers, we require an inspirational and innovative teacher of Science to join our successful and committed department where examination results are consistently high. While experience in teaching both Physics and Chemistry is highly advantageous we welcome applications from specialists in other areas of Science. The Science Department consists of eleven teachers, dedicated preparation rooms for each science, an observatory, an allotment and wildlife area. Uptake for Triple Science and A-level is high, as is GCSE Astronomy, which is offered as an additional GCSE.

TEACHER OF CRIMINOLOGY OR SOCIOLOGY OR RPE OR PSYCHOLOGY
(we are looking at someone who can teach at least two of these)

Due to expanding school numbers particularly at A Level, we require an inspirational and innovative teacher of Social Science our school. The successful candidate will have a strong background in at least two of the subjects above (noting, they will not be expected, unless they wish, to teach all of them). The new teacher will join our successful and committed department where examination results are consistently high. The Humanities Department consists of ten teachers, all of which are highly experienced and excellent practitioners. The strength of this department has seen numbers growing at Sixth Form and this new role supports that growth.
