Lead Practitioner in Maths

We are looking to appoint a Lead Practitioner of Maths who is passionate about their subject and has the drive to continue our determination to achieve outstanding results through a continued commitment to impressive learning and teaching throughout the subject.
Your primary role will be to lead on curriculum initiatives and development. As a leading practitioner you will also play a part in whole school evaluations and further improve the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
The faculty is strong with examination results above the national average. Mathematics is our most popular subject in the sixth form, with close to 50% of students studying it at A level. We also teach further maths and many students go on to study maths or engineering at university. In addition we offer Core Maths and Finance with considerable success.
We are an Engineering Academy and as such STEM subjects are at the heart of our curriculum.
Chelmer Valley is a forward looking, significantly over subscribed Academy. We believe that a working environment should be positive and welcoming; our approach to the well-being of all stakeholders is very important to us.

Examination Invigilators required
We are looking to create a pool of invigilators to work during the examination periods.
The task of the invigilation team is to assist the Examinations Officer to ensure the smooth running of all examinations, so that the students can perform as well as they are able.
The successful candidates will be discreet, able to respect confidentiality and work within a team. Punctuality, reliability and flexibility are essential.
We are looking for any-one who is able to offer their time throughout the year.
