Lead Practitioner in Maths
Leadership Scale (negotiable subject to experience)
Required September 2019 or January 2020
We are looking to appoint a Lead Practitioner of Maths who is passionate about their subject and has the drive to continue our determination to achieve outstanding results through a continued commitment to impressive learning and teaching throughout the subject.
Your primary role will be to lead on curriculum initiatives and development. As a leading practitioner you will also play a part in whole school evaluations and further improve the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
The faculty is strong with examination results above the national average. Mathematics is our most popular subject in the sixth form, with close to 50% of students studying it at A level. We also teach further maths and many students go on to study maths or engineering at university. In addition we offer Core Maths and Finance with considerable success.
We are an Engineering Academy and as such STEM subjects are at the heart of our curriculum.

36 hours per week 8.15 am – 4.00 pm (Monday- Thursday), 8.15 am – 3.45 pm Friday, 38 weeks per year
(Band 3 Midpoint Point 6-11, Actual Salary £15,418.84 – 17,023.38 pa)
We are seeking someone to join our attendance team who will be in charge of maintaining attendance records for our students.
A positive, energetic and enthusiastic approach with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to a multitude of tasks will be required. Good working knowledge in Excel and MS Word is essential.
